Abstract

This research aims to describe the form and function of speech acts in the routine recitation of
Nayiatul Aisyiyah, Pemaron Village, Brebes District, Brebes Regency and construe the results of
research on Indonesian language learning in high school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive
approach, data collection techniques using the listening method, basic tapping techniques and
advanced techniques for engaging in conversation, note-taking techniques, and recording techniques.
The data analysis technique uses a practical equivalent method and presents the data using an
informal method. Based on research results, there are 49 directive speech acts data in the Nasyiatul
Aisyiyah Routine Study in Pemaron Village, Brebes District, Brebes Regency, namely directive speech
acts imperative 17 data, requesting directive speech acts 1 data, directive speech acts inviting 8 data,
directive speech acts advice 6 data, speech act criticism directive 3 data, and directive speech act
prohibition 14 data. The results of this study can be implied in teaching materials in SMA class XI
semester 1, namely in Basic Competence 3.2, Analyzing the structure and language of procedure texts
