Abstrak

This study aims to describe the social value in the Tegalan Gendu–Gendu Rasa Poetry Anthology by
Lecturers and Pantura Teachers and to describe the implications of research results on Indonesian
language learning in high school. This research uses a sociology of literature approach. The technique
of providing data in this research is using library techniques, reading techniques, and note-taking
techniques as a follow-up technique. Data analysis in this study used the presentation of the results of
data analysis using informal methods. The results of this study indicate that there are 5 social values
which include (1). the value of caring, (2). friendship value, (3). social values, (4). the value of
helping, (5). responsibility value. The results of this study can be implied in learning Indonesian in
SMA class X odd semester with basic competence X KD 3.16. identify the atmosphere, theme, and
meaning of several poems contained in anthologies of poetry that are heard or read.
