IMPLEMENTATION OF THE E-ARCHIVE SYSTEM USING THE RAIL DOCUMENT SYSTEM METHOD AT PT XYZ

Abstrak

Effective records management has become a major concern of modern companies in the need for better information management. This is an effort to achieve perfection in archive management which so far has not been integrated. Document management is still often done manually, resulting in work being wasted even though information is needed quickly. PT XYZ strives to achieve perfection in archive management by creating an electronic archive system. The research results show that the administration of electronic archives at PT XYZ through the Rail Document System includes creating and storing archives, utilization and distribution, maintenance and depreciation. Separation, scanning, and use of electronic storage media are three components included in the creation and storage process. This includes security mechanisms for electronic records both in administration and distribution. The maintenance process includes both software and hardware. Apart from that, during the depreciation process, namely during the process of transferring electronic records.
