PENGGUNAAN MAJAS PERSONIFIKASI PADA NOVEL RATU BERLIAN DAN IMPLIKASINYA SEBAGAI BAHAN AJAR DI SMP

Abstract

This study aims to find out the use of personification figure of speech in Ratu Berlian novel which is
implied as teaching material in junior high school. In this study using reading and note-taking
techniques. The results of data collection using reading and note-taking techniques found 40 data in
the form of sentence quotes containing personification figure of speech. There are 4 types of
personification figure of speech found, namely the personification of nature, the personification of
animals, the personification of plants, and the personification of objects. The most commonly found
data is the type of natural personification, namely there are 34 data in the form of sentence quotes that
contain the personification of nature. Then it was also found 2 data personifications of animals, 3
personifications of plants, and finally there was at least 1 personification of objects. From the 40
personification data, it can be seen that the percentage is 85% natural personification, 5% animal
personification, 7.5% plant personification, and 2.5% object personification. This research is implied
as a teaching material in junior high school, because the discussion is in accordance with the
Indonesian language learning material
