Abstract

This study aims to describe the violation of the maxim of politeness in
language in the learning process guided by AHE Maftukha Purbasana, and to
describe the implications for learning Indonesian in high school. This study uses a
qualitative approach to its presentation using an informal method. For data
collection techniques using the listening method with advanced techniques in the
form of conversational engagement listening techniques, recording techniques, notetaking techniques. The results of this study indicate that the violation of the maxim
of politeness in the learning process at AHE Mafuka Purbasana tutoring resulted in
30 data, 8 maxim of wisdom data, 6 data of maxim of generosity, 5 data of maxim of
humility, 5 data of maxim of agreement, 3 data of maxim of sympathy, 3 data of
praise maxim. The implication of the results of this study is that it can be used as an
alternative teaching material in SMA class XII semester 2 with basic competence 3.1
understanding the principles of language politeness in social interaction.
