Abstract
PT. Trimitra Trans Persada is a logistics transportation company tasked with distributing goods to Alfamart stores with demands for on-time and safe delivery. However, the distribution process often faces obstacles such as inefficient routes, which can lead to longer distances and longer delivery times. This study was conducted at PT. Trimitra Trans Persada Distribution Center Tegal with the aim of optimizing distribution routes using the saving matrix method. Based on actual data from the delivery schedule on March 17, 2024, the company's initial route using 4 trucks resulted in a total distance of 157 km by transporting 990 boxes. By implementing the nearest neighbor-based saving matrix method, the total distance was successfully optimized to 132.6 km, a reduction of 24.4 km. This reduction in distance shows the potential for significant efficiency in distribution, which can reduce operational costs and delivery times. The results of this study emphasize the importance of improving distribution routes to minimize inefficiencies and support better logistics performance
